About Helen Kimber
Helen M Kimber is a mezzo-soprano from Arcata, California. She graduated with her MM in Vocal Performance at the University of Northern Colorado, and also holds a BA in Vocal Performance from Humboldt State University. She has always had a passion for music and has been performing since the age of 5. She performs quite regularly with her most recent performance including Loveland Opera Theatre’s Production of The Ballad of Baby Doe as chorus and covering Augusta Friend 1 and Friend 2, Polly Peachum in UNC’s production of The Threepenny Opera, Fiordiligi in UNC’s production of Cosi Fan tutte. She has a passion for teaching and wants her students to feel the same passion for music. She is known by her students for her bubbly personality, flexible teaching styles, and for making music learning fun! In her free time, she loves to read, play video games, and garden!
