Music Explorers fosters children’s social and emotional growth through whimsical songs and playful exploration

Music Explorers is a unique Early Childhood Music program that focuses on the whole child, laying the foundations not only musically, but mentally, emotionally, and physically. Based on the National Standards for Music Education, Music Explorers provides students with an opportunity to develop beginning music skills all while encouraging a child’s confidence and self-expression.

The Summer Camp starts the week of July 7th and ends the week of August 4th (5 weeks total) with two lesson times to choose from. Ages 3-5 are welcome.

Wednesdays from 11:30am – 12:30pm beginning Wednesday, July 9th and ending Wednesday, August 6th
Fridays from 2:00pm – 3:00pm beginning Friday, July 11th and ending Friday, August 8th

A child’s first experience in music is one of their most important. Take an adventure with us!

This pre-lesson program (for ages 3-5) explores the world of music and BEYOND through the eyes of the young child!

Our goal in Music Explorers is to help set the musical foundations for our young students while at the same time nurturing their social, emotional, and physical development. These explorers will learn musical concepts such as steady beat, tone matching, listening skills, coordination, and musical vocabulary, while learning to sing and play classroom instruments with their peers!

Each unit builds these new concepts while also exploring a different element of the world around them:
Unit 1 – Only One Me!
Unit 2 – Space Explorers
Unit 3 – Here in the Ocean
Unit 4 – Welcome to the Dinosaur Orchestra!

Our young Music Explorers will learn to sing and play instruments to prepare them for music lessons to come. When an explorer has completed all 4 units, they can begin regular 1-on-1 music lessons with one of our experienced teachers!

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long each. Each unit is 8-weeks long at $180 per child/per unit. Signing up two or more? You get a 10% discount on enrollment! Sign up for the entire 1-year program (all 4 units) and receive a 10% discount on the total tuition!

How long will the class run?

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long each. Parents are not required to stay but are always welcome to watch the class in our lobby through our observation window.

What will be covered in the class?

Musical concepts such as steady beat, tone matching, listening skills, coordination, musical vocabulary, singing and playing classroom instruments are all taught by a music education professional.

Are parents or family members able to participate or sit in the class?

While we understand the desire to observe and participate, we kindly ask that parents and family members not sit in on the class. This helps create an environment where children can build independence and engage fully with their peers and the instructor. By minimizing distractions, we can support a more consistent and focused learning experience for everyone.

Parents are welcome to sit in our lobby just outside the classroom and watch through our observation window. We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to welcoming you to special events where families can join in the fun!
