student learning to play the guitar at home in Loveland CO

Does your bucket list include learning to play an instrument? It’s never too late to start! Even if you are an absolute beginner, you can learn to sing… or play the piano, drums, guitar, bass, violin, or ukulele. It’s fun (and relaxing after a long day of work)! You will be playing your favorite songs before you know it. Our instructors tailor each music lesson to fit you, as an individual. You get to work on the music you enjoy, with a pace and learning style that are right for you.

Our instructors are warm, patient, encouraging, and love to help you learn your favorite songs!

If you are a senior and are looking for music lessons as a fun challenge, you’ve come to the right place! Playing music is one of the only activities that utilizes virtually all parts of your brain, strengthening the bonds between the left and right hemispheres. Music lessons are a great way to keep your brain active, increase memory, and build relationships with other musicians.

We teach a variety of styles, from classical to rock to popular music. The important thing is that you learn to play the music you love! Our instructors are patient, fun, and creative in their approach to teaching piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, drum, violin, and voice lessons. They will teach you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique, and music theory, all while incorporating your favorite songs into your lessons.

You do not need to have a piano at home to take piano lessons. A simple full-size keyboard will be sufficient for the first 1-2 years.

Daily practicing is one of the key elements in making musical progress. Too many music teachers make the assumption that, somehow, students know what to work on and how to go about it. Your music lessons will include instruction in how to practice effectively, using methods that keep your practice time interesting.

Red Carpet Student Recitals are held twice a year. There are no recital fees; these are free opportunities to build confidence, learn performance techniques, and be inspired by other musicians. Recitals are optional but highly recommended; please bring your family and friends to cheer you on!

The Academy does not require semester minimums for adult music lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis. We have rolling admission, so you can begin lessons anytime. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose! We only want students who truly want to be here, and we will not commit you to a long-term contract.

We know adults are busy, so we offer a wide variety of music lesson times. You can take lessons in the morning, on your lunch break, while the kids are at school during the day, or in the afternoon or evening. We are open weekends, too!

There are three different options for music lessons at Loveland Academy of Music:

  • 30-minute private music lessons once a week are recommended for children through adults. ($32.50/week, monthly rate)
  • 45-minute private music lessons once a week are recommended for more serious students, children through adult. ($48.75/week, monthly rate)
  • 60-minute private music lessons once a week are recommended for serious students, teen through adult. ($65.00/week, monthly rate)

We invite all new students to schedule a time to tour our school and register. This time is used to get to know the student, find out their interests and skill level, register, and discuss a plan of action. There is a one-time registration fee of $30.

All charges are made with automatic electronic payments. Pre-authorized credit, pre-authorized debit, or auto draft are required. Your information will be kept private and secure. This system ensures efficiency, peace of mind for you, and one less thing you have to think about!

Our monthly tuition is all-inclusive! You don’t have to worry about hidden fees. Admission is FREE for our recitals, with no participation fee. We offer FREE picture day with a professional photographer, FREE inclusion in our Musical Ladder program, FREE student portal to keep you involved, FREE master classes so you can make music with other students, our Student Care Team ready to assist you seven days a week, and much more!
