About Brian
Brian has over three decades’ experience as a soloist, professional chorister, and voice teacher. Raised in College Station, his formative musical experiences were in the TMEA All-State Choir and Solo/Ensemble Competition. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in voice (Northwestern University; University of Kentucky) and a PhD in musicology (Case Western Reserve University). His voice teaching is based in traditional bel canto techniques for achieving a beautiful tone and wide range with maximum flexibility and ease of production. He is committed to low-stress lessons and hopes his students will commit to patient practice from a love for the art and the process of self-discovery.
