Youth Theatre Program: In Just a Few Weeks, They’ll Be Performing on Stage!
All Ages & Skill Levels Welcome
Want to See Your Child’s Creativity and Confidence Grow?
This Spring the CLSM Youth Theater Program will present a cabaret-style performance of scenes from some of your favorite Broadway Musicals! Learn performance skills while making new friends. Theater is a great way to increase self-confidence and creativity in children. You’ll be amazed at how quickly they learn!
Practice Information:
To prepare for the show, students work individually and in small and large groups to develop and improve their singing, acting, and dancing skills.
Drawing material from a variety of popular shows, each participant will work on individual songs and scenes with a focus on vocal technique and acting, and will also work in small and large group numbers with focus on singing harmonies, acting with partners, and dancing.
Creative expression through choreography, scene blocking, and more is an important part of the program.
The workshop will culminate with a one-hour performance on Saturday, May 21st at the Northbrook Leisure Center.
