About Casey Skorski
B.A. Music Technology and English, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Based in Chicago, Casey is the general manager for the Christopher Laughlin School of Music. Prior to joining Laughlin School, Casey taught private lessons in guitar, piano, bass, drums and ukulele at Bucktown Music while also working in corporate sales. He has performed with the Marching Illini, UIUC Varsity Men’s Glee Club, Sixth Street Brass Band and the university’s balinese gamelan kebyar ensemble under the direction of I Ketut Gede Asnawa. After graduating, Casey performed with the balinese chapter of Chicago’s Friends of the Gamelan and began his own R&B-rock band, Cosmic Jaywalkers.
He values access and opportunity to music education for everyone, and believes inside each of us is a musician ready to play and share their gifts to the world.
