Here at The Christopher Laughlin School of Music, we can help you convert your musical fantasies into reality – while preserving that irresistible sense of joy you feel when playing along. Whether you come to us planning on becoming the next Flea or simply wanting to play songs around the campfire with your friends, our top-notch instructors will help you progress quickly toward your goals while ensuring you have fun along the way.

We Emphasize Healthy Technique


Regardless of your ultimate goals, our teachers will prioritize strong fundamentals including proper posture, hand positioning, chords, fretting, picking, and strumming. As students progress, these basics will become second nature – and serve as the foundation from which students can apply their skills across a variety of genres and styles.

We want our guitar students to be literate, well-rounded musicians. Beginners and seasoned performers alike will find value in our approach at The Christopher Laughlin School of Music, coupling technical instruction with elements of music theory and music history in each lesson.

Your unique interests and background will help guide your experience at The Christopher Laughlin School of Music. We teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced students who are interested in a variety of styles – including rock, jazz, classical, pop, blues, and more. Whether you’re inspired by modern day singer-songwriters or the rockers of the 1970s, we can’t wait to get started with you!

Our seasoned instructors will draw upon years of playing, performing, and teaching experience to guide you in improving your skills and exploring the many possibilities of your instrument, and advancing toward your goals at a pace that works for you.

Our Bass Teachers:

Every teacher at The Christopher Laughlin School of Music is committed to your growth and provides a positive, engaging environment for bass lessons. With our personal, private instruction, you learn from a qualified, skilled and understanding musician who specializes in the bass and creates a customized curriculum just for you. While you will learn techniques, fundamentals, and expression, we also support your talent development and help you reach your individual musical goals.

We offer a variety of plans to fit your schedule & budget

Professional Faculty:

Professional Faculty are all full-time experienced musicians and instructors who hold, at a minimum, a bachelors degree in music. First family member/additional members.

30 minutes – $42/$40

45 minutes – $59/$57

60 minutes – $77/$75

Artist Faculty:

Our Artist Faculty are select music instructors in high demand, with extensive experience and/or exceptional artistic accomplishments. First family member/additional members.

30 minutes – $47/$45

45 minutes – $66/$64

60 minutes – $86/$84

Single lessons:

If you can’t commit to a regular lesson time, or just need a couple of lessons to prepare for an audition, single lessons are available. Professional faculty/Artist faculty.

30 minutes – PF/$47, AF/$52

45 minutes – PF/$68, AF/$78

60 minutes – PF/$87, AF/$104
