About Laura Morabith
Laura Morabith started playing by ear at the age of 6 at which time she also began learning to play the violin. When she began, She was fully self-taught and learned how to read music with a little help from her older sister. She accompanied the entire 6th-grade class; at which time she was recognized by the principal of the school for her talent to play as a fully self-taught individual. Laura started accompanying the choirs at school and at church. Laura auditioned for the Koch School of Music in Rocky River at which time the owner, Dr. Frederick Koch, offered to be her teacher. She began music lessons at Koch School of Music, all the while continuing accompanying the middle and high school choral groups. Laura went on to receive her Associate Degree of Arts for Music at Cuyahoga Community College, and shortly thereafter went on to Cleveland State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts for Music. Laura has been teaching private piano lessons for about 25 years at Music Works, Westgate Music and is presently teaching at Lakewood Music Academy.
