About David Debick
David Debick has served as director of music at Brecksville United Church of Christ since 2002, where he directs an adult choir, a children’s choir, a soprano recorder/dulcimer/guitar ensemble, and a youth percussion group. Other church music director positions have included South Haven UCC, Calvary United Methodist Church of Lakewood, and St. Peter Church. Dave directed the Wildwood Singers for the City of Mentor for ten years, where he also taught piano and voice. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Borromeo College of Ohio in 1980. Over the years he has studied organ with Adeline Huss, Rev. Timothy O’Connor, Richard Jordan, and Ivan Licht. He studied piano for nine years with William Appling at Western Reserve Academy and the Cleveland Institute of Music. In his spare time, Dave enjoys nature, hiking, cinema, musical theater, and following current affairs in the news.
