About Carlie Geyer
Carlie Geyer is a violinist and instructor of violin and viola in northeast Ohio. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree in Violin Performance in 2024. Prior to her studies in Ohio, Carlie received a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from Eastern Kentucky University in 2022.
During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Carlie taught music in various settings including private lessons, group classes, and orchestra sectionals in public schools, and she is passionate about extending music education to students of all ages, from preschool to adults. Carlie has performed in orchestras such as Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Black Diamond Philharmonic, Warren Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, and more. She has attended festivals such as the Arkhé Project in Selçuk-İzmir, Turkey and Colorado MahlerFest in Boulder, and she performs regularly as a freelance musician.
