About John L.
Originally from Fürth, Germany, John studied piano from a young age and won prizes at the Nuremberg Piano Competition and other regional events. As a violinist, he became concertmaster of the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra where he fell in love with the art of conducting.
John has performed extensively on both the piano and violin, appearing as a violin soloist with the Klanglust! Chamber Orchestra on several occasions and traveling to many parts of Europe on orchestral tours. As a pianist he has also played in the Bochum Symphony and as a chamber musician and accompanist.
In addition to his performance accolades, John also founded the “Orchester Ventuno,” an orchestra in his home town of Fürth, for which he was awarded the cultural advancement awards of the region of Middle Franconia and of the city of Fürth in recognition of his contributions to the arts.
Before joining us at Kidz Create Music, John taught for six years in Germany and in the US, where he helped prepare students for the Certificate of Meritof the Music Teachers’ Association of California. John loves working with intermediate and advanced classical piano and violin students who want to take their playing to the next level. John’s aim is to lead the student into the world of beauty, depth and solace that is found in music.
