About Elizabeth Skola Davis
Elizabeth Skola Davis has a diverse background in music performance, theory, and composition and has been a cellist for many metropolitan professional and community orchestras. While completing her M.M., she earned several awards for her compositions, including third prize in the ASCAP Victor Herbert Young Composers competition in the Voice with Orchestra category, one of seven honorable mentions in the Small Ensemble category and was also featured at the Second Festival of Women Composers at Indiana, Pennsylvania. She is currently Principal Cellist of the Columbia Orchestra and Principal Cellist/Composer in Residence for Trinity Chamber Orchestra, both in Maryland.a
