About David Baxter
David Baxter began his musical adventures studying the trumpet at the age of nine. Lessons in a community music school lead to further studies at New England Conservatory and Cleveland Institute of Music. As both a performer and a teacher, sharing music has filled his life with much joy. Working as the Instrumental Music Director at Newman University, Dave began to revel in helping students understand how to play efficiently, enabling them to enjoy playing music for the rest of their lives.
Nurturing students’ love of music on whatever instrument they choose has become a passion for Mr. Baxter. He enjoys cultivating analytical abilities that ultimately foster problem solving skills for all of life. He believes that each student becomes their own best teacher.
