How does tuition work?
Tuition is a flat, subscription-based fee charged on the first day of each month. It holds your time slot with your teacher for the year. Hoffman School of Music is year-round, so your subscription continues until you request withdrawal, and enrollment is accepted at any time of year.
Do I still pay full price during holidays and school breaks?
Yes. The school is closed for most national holidays and school breaks, and the cost of those breaks is already built into your flat monthly rate.
What happens with billing when I first enroll?
Your first month is prorated based on how many lessons remain in that month.
How do I pay?
All students are enrolled in AutoPay and must keep a payment method on file.
What is the Annual Studio Fee?
A yearly fee charged automatically on your enrollment anniversary, capped at two fees per family, that supports registration, studio activities, events, and prizes.
Is there a recital fee?
Yes, $10 per student per recital. Admission for family and friends is always free.
Is there a discount for multiple kids in one family?
Yes, $10/month off each subscription for families with three or more active subscriptions on the account.
Are books, materials, or instrument rental included in tuition?
No. Educational materials, music books, instrument rental, and other accessories are additional costs paid by the client.
What if my invoice is late?
A $20 late fee applies to any invoice 10+ days overdue.
What happens if my teacher leaves permanently?
The school will provide a new teacher at the same time slot, or work with you to find a new teacher or time.
