About John Hix
John Hix’s musical journey began when his father started giving him drum lessons at age seven. With love and support from an already musically inclined family and a drive to become a versatile player, John constantly sought out new experiences and challenges growing up. John discovered his passion for teaching when he began giving lessons to his peers in high school. John attended Belmont University in Nashville for Commercial Music and has now been teaching private lessons on and off for over 6 years. He is currently playing and singing in both a disco and blues/rock band that gig weekly, as well as various praise bands locally.
