What is the minimum age to begin trumpet lessons at Groove House?
Anyone can learn to play an instrument, but there are certain elements that lend themselves to more successful adoption of a new skill. When it comes to the trumpet, it’s important to not only have solid reading and comprehension skills to be successful but also have significant lung capacity. We begin trumpet lessons at the age of five. At this point, we’ve found that students have the necessary skills to acquire the knowledge that will support playing the instrument.
Do I need any prior experience?
The trumpet is a sophisticated instrument, but with the right support, anyone can learn to play it. There’s no need to be nervous about getting started or striving for an ambitious goal – we welcome musicians of all backgrounds and skill levels.
