About Vincent Muscarella
Vincent Muscarella is a classical/electric guitarist and music instructor from Long Island, NY. Vincent performs at music halls, festivals, churches, museums, clubs, theaters, and symposiums around the east coast and the south of the United States, in NYC, and in Canada as a soloist, chamber musician, and band member. As a classical guitarist, Vincent has performed at venues and festivals like The Dimenna Center for Classical Music in NYC, The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, Port Washington Theater on Long Island, The Long Island Guitar Festival, The Midsummer Music Dream Festival in Quebec, and The Philippines Consulate in NYC.
As an electric guitarist, Vincent has performed at over a dozen prominent music venues in NYC such as Bowery Ballroom, Bowery Electric, Mercury Lounge, Bitter End, and Brooklyn Bowl, to name a few. Festivals Vincent has performed at as a band member include Montauk Music Festival, Mazzstock Music Festival, Great South Bay Music Festival, Huntington Fall Festival, Lake George Freedom Festival, and Saranac Thursday’s festival in Utica, NY. As a member of various bands and ensembles, Vincent has performed at venues in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Tennessee, Louisiana, North Carolina, Virginia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and more.
As an educator, Vincent has taught at private music schools, festivals, public and private schools, and colleges in New York, Virginia, Maryland, Canada, and Michigan. These institutions include, Mason Community Arts Academy in Fairfax, VA, Catoctin School of Music in Leesburg, VA, Vienna Music School in Queens, NY, and St. Paul’s Schools in Baltimore, MD. Currently, Vincent is a faculty member at Grace Music School on Long Island and at Jackson College in Jackson, MI. Vincent has previously taught World Music courses at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
Vincent attended Long Island University where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and guitar performance. Recently, Vincent completed a Master of Music Degree in guitar performance at Towson University in Towson, Maryland where he was the graduate teaching assistant to the department of music history and literature. Vincent has completed additional post-graduate guitar courses at George Mason University and Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia
