About Thomas McClafferty
Tom is a multi-instrument teacher that holds multiple degrees. From an Associate’s Degree in Music Performance from Suffolk County Community College, two Bachelor’s Degrees in Applied Music and Music Therapy from the State University of New York at Fredonia, and just completed his Master’s in Music Education from Hofstra University. Because of his background in Music Therapy, Tom has a wide range of experience with students of all abilities.
Tom teaches all brass instruments, woodwinds, percussion, piano and string instruments including guitar and ukulele. From playing on stages from Carnegie Hall and everything in-between, Tom’s experience as a musician has led to a lifelong passion of wanting to teach music.
