About Jessica Lombardo

Jessica Lombardo is one of the most active freelance French Horn players in the New York City area. She plays a variety of different musical styles and genres such as classical, opera, ballet, chamber, pop, jazz, rock, and Broadway. She has performed with some of the top musical ensembles in the city including the New York Pops and has accompanied celebrities such as Tony Award Winning Singer and Actress, Jane Krakowski. Jessica holds a position as Principal Horn with The Battle Creek Symphony in Michigan and has performed with a number of orchestras in the Midwest including The Kentucky Symphony and The Billings Symphony in Montana.

Ms. Lombardo has been on numerous international tours in Europe and has played alongside members of both The Czech Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic. She also served as the artist in residence at The Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival in South Africa. Jessica is also a proud teacher, she is a Teaching Artist with the Harmony Program and teaches Brass at Grace Music School and Laconia Music School on Long Island. She has also taught at the prestigious French Woods Summer Music Festival.

Jessica earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Horn Performance from Mannes School of Music where she studied with former Principal Horn of The New York Philharmonic, Philip Myers and has a Master’s Degree in Horn Performance from The University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music where she studied with former Fourth Horn of The Philadelphia Orchestra, Denise Tryon and current Principal Horn of The Cincinnati Symphony, Elizabeth Freimuth.
