About Dylan Krukowski
Dylan Krukowski is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and music educator with a deep background in chamber music and solo performance. Having graduated from Ithaca College with a dual degree in Performance and Music Education, the bulk of Dylan’s professional experience has been shaped by the diverse artistic culture of Ithaca and the greater upstate area, where he has built a skillset teaching and playing music in classical, jazz, and modern band styles. Dylan has been appraised for his collaborative approach to making music, and fostering healthy goal-oriented mindsets in his students.
Starting his musical career on guitar from early childhood, Dylan has since covered a wide spectrum of instrumental performance. While he continues to both enjoy acoustic and electric guitar, today he primarily builds his freelancing career off of his proficiency in tuba, upright bass, and electric bass. His most recent endeavours include playing bass at the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, New York, during their August 2025 run of Phantom. Also this year, Dylan and two colleagues from Ithaca College formed the Embers Low Brass Trio—a group which found success gigging in local venues in the Tompkins County area, composing and performing works of popular, film, and video game music, and embarking on an educational tour of the greater upstate area, where they performed recitals and delivered masterclasses to high school and middle school students across multiple music programs.
Dylan’s educational philosophy is grounded on his belief that music performance is an avenue toward greater artistic appreciation, cultural understanding, and personal fulfillment. His mission is to guide his students toward creative independence, while emphasizing the value of excellent fundamentals and critical musical thinking.
