About Arielle Chin

Arielle Chin has been passionate about everything violin related since she was 5 years old. She holds her degree in Music Business from the Crane School of Music with a focus on classical violin studies. She has been teaching students of all ages for over twelve years and loves watching her students thrive!

For both her violin and piano students, Arielle emphasizes having a solid, correct technique as a basis for every student’s foundation of playing. Healthy posture, ear training, and instrument care are aspects that she includes within each of her lessons. Just like how each instrument is an individual, Arielle also understands that each student has their own specific way of learning. She quickly and easily adapts to each student’s learning style, needs and skill level. Arielle believes that lessons should be a balanced mix of being both fun and productive.

Arielle expanded on her passion and knowledge by taking an apprenticeship in violin making whereupon she completed four violins and learned violin restoration. While living in Brooklyn, she went on to do violin restoration work in Manhattan where she cared for and maintained historic violins, violas and cellos. Arielle has given Violin Making/Maintenance master classes at the Crane School of Music, and also offers lessons in basic violin repairs, set ups, maintenance and tips for advanced violin purchasing.
