Join Logan and Emerson in an 8-week exploration of the creative process behind songwriting. Areas of focus will include workshopping original music, determining artistic influences, and discovering unique ways to write music, both individually and in groups. Our two instructors have an eclectic and extensive range of experience writing and performing in pop, rock, jazz, R&B, and many other genres of music.

Students will use apps like Band Lab and DAW to create songs from the ground up, complete with lyrics of their own! Students are encouraged to bring their own Chromebook or laptop (for the purpose of practice or continued work at home), otherwise iPads will be provided for use during class.
