About LESLIE
Leslie views music as an all-encompassing force that profoundly impacts her life. She believes it is a powerful medium that not only brings immense joy but also offers comfort and strength during difficult times, enriching our lives in numerous ways. According to Leslie, music has the remarkable ability to touch and elevate the human spirit. She is convinced that everyone can benefit from music lessons, even if they do not intend to pursue a career in music. For her, music serves as a transformative experience that enhances personal development, fosters deeper emotional connections, and refines one’s ability to communicate and connect with others on a more profound level.
Leslie was born and raised in Moreno Valley, California, where music has been a central part of her life for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a highly musical household, she spent much of her youth singing alongside her family. As the youngest member, she admired her older sisters, who were actively involved in choir and musical theater. Their performances inspired her deeply, and she aspired to follow in their footsteps.Leslie’s passion for music was evident early on, as she began performing at school and church during elementary school. This early exposure to the stage fueled her desire to pursue music more seriously. By high school, she was taking voice lessons, which solidified her decision to major in music at college. Leslie earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Southern Utah University, followed by a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge.
In addition to her academic achievements, Leslie serves as a director’s assistant for the youth choirs at Millennial Choirs and Orchestras. Her diverse musical interests include opera, rock music, and musical theater, reflecting her wide-ranging appreciation for different genres. With a bubbly and welcoming personality, Leslie enjoys a variety of hobbies outside of music. In her free time, she practices yoga, reads, and explores the many beautiful locations around Orange County, finding joy and inspiration in the natural beauty of her surroundings.
