About KYLE

Music has been a central focus of Kyle’s life for 19 years, dominating his pursuits and passions for most of his existence. From the moment his father introduced him to the drums at the age of 4, Kyle developed a profound love for the instrument that has only deepened over time. He feels a deep sense of gratitude for how drumming has shaped his purpose and identity, becoming the defining element of his personal and professional journey.

Kyle was born in Northern California and grew up in the charming town of Livermore. In 2022, his family relocated to Southern California, where he has since made his home. His musical journey began at the tender age of 4 when his father introduced him to percussion. Captivated by the drums, Kyle dedicated himself to mastering the instrument from an early age, teaching himself through practice and perseverance. After moving to Southern California, he took formal drum lessons starting at age 10, continuing his studies until he graduated high school. Kyle’s passion for drumming led him to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he pursued and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music.

Kyle’s musical preferences are wonderfully eclectic, spanning genres from Progressive Metal to Jazz to Classic Rock. Each of these styles holds a special place in his heart and has played a crucial role in shaping his approach as a music teacher. Progressive Metal, with its complex structures and intricate rhythms, has influenced his appreciation for technical proficiency and innovation. Jazz has contributed to his understanding of improvisation and emotional expression, while Classic Rock has instilled in him a deep appreciation for powerful, timeless melodies and energetic performances. These diverse musical influences not only reflect Kyle’s broad tastes but also inform his teaching philosophy, enabling him to offer a rich and varied perspective to his students. His diverse background allows him to connect with students across different genres, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
