About ISABEL

Isabel was born and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Southern California, where her musical journey began at the tender age of six. Her initial exposure to music came through the nurturing instruction of her piano teacher, Mrs. Roberta, whose mentorship ignited Isabel’s passion for the piano. Under Mrs. Roberta’s patient and skilled guidance, Isabel honed her musical talents, developing a deep and enduring love for music. This formative relationship continued throughout her high school years, shaping her skills and reinforcing her commitment to her art.

Following her early musical training, Isabel pursued higher education in music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from California State University, Fullerton. This accomplishment marked a significant milestone in her career and underscored her dedication to the field. Building on this foundation, Isabel is now advancing her expertise by working towards a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy at the same institution. Her affiliation with the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) further reflects her ongoing commitment to both her personal growth and the broader music education community.

Isabel’s musical tastes span a diverse range of genres, with classical, rock, and jazz being her top favorites. She holds classical music in the highest regard due to its foundational role in shaping virtually all musical styles. Rock music holds a special place in her heart as well, having been a significant part of her upbringing thanks to her older siblings. Jazz is her third favorite, appreciated for its vibrant and complex harmonies that she finds particularly captivating. Beyond her musical interests, Isabel has a deep love for plants and gardening, enjoys spending time with animals, and is passionate about camping and exploring the outdoors. She describes her personality as gentle, yet she possesses a fierce and unwavering passion for music. Isabel also has a background in competitive ice skating and has played a variety of instruments, including the violin, cello, and saxophone, adding to her rich and diverse musical experience.
