About Chester
Filipino-born, Southern California-based tenor, Chester is a recent graduate from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music with their Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Currently, they are pursuing their Master of Music in Vocal Performance at CSU Northridge.
Chester began their musical journey on the drum kit at the age of six and has been playing various instruments at various levels since, such as piano, guitar, bass, and ukulele. They eventually became a choral singer and pursued a degree in music. Some of their favorite operatic roles performed recently have been Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Philadelphia, 2024), Beppe in I Pagliacci (Lawrence, 2025) and Rodolfo in La bohème (Los Angeles, 2025).
Some of their current favorite artists include Laufey, Billie Eilish, Sam Smith, and Bruno Major. Outside of music, Chester has a variety of interests such as taking photos, exploring new coffee shops, and sharing cat memes.
