About Nan Lambertz-Schager
Nan Lambertz-Schager is a classically trained soprano and pedagogue originally from South Dakota. They hold a Bachelors degree in voice performance from the University of South Dakota, and Masters degrees in Voice Performance and Voice Pedagogy from Syracuse University.
Their varied performance background includes choral ensembles, operas, musicals, as well as solo work throughout their career. Not one to be stuck to a singular genre, Nan has studied and is comfortable in classical, musical theatre, and jazz/contemporary repertoire. Their research in singing focuses on the accessibility of opera for both singers and audiences as well as belting techniques throughout Broadway’s repertoire, from Golden Age to contemporary.
Much of Nan’s teaching has been at the collegiate level. As a graduate assistant at Syracuse University, they taught voice class for non majors, assistant directed operas, and created pandemic coursework for opera workshops. Nan has taught students with different goals and training levels and is a great fit for students excited to learn.
