About Sam Bradshaw
Sam Bradshaw is a drummer with over 15 years of professional experience, and has played in rock bands, jazz combos, symphonic orchestras, and more. Currently operating in the Shenandoah Valley’s roots scene, he is a member of Jake Kohn’s band, as well as Zac Townsend’s band The Mudcats. You can hear him drum on Jake Kohn’s album Where Do We Go From Here? (Live From The Barn), which was released by Atlantic Records in October of 2025. He has performed in many venues and festivals across America.
As a drum instructor Sam believes in a multifaceted approach defined by his time as a student at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Virginia Commonwealth University, and as a student of members of the National Symphony Orchestra. He also draws inspiration from the pedagogy of world folk music traditions.
Students of any level and age can expect a holistic, tailored approach to technique and fundamentals which can be applied to a wide variety of genres on drum set and within the percussion world at large.
