About Simone DePaolo
Simone DePaolo’s dance journey began in Connecticut and quickly expanded to New York City, where she trained with masters such as Mr. Charles Kelley, Frank Hachett, Phil Black, and Don Farnsworth. She was also a full-time attendee of Alvin Ailey’s American Dance Theatre. Simone’s vocal talents have led her to record lead and backup vocals for various artists nationally and abroad with Costa & MSC cruise liners.
Simone has worked extensively as a director, coach, and choreographer with musical theatre, cabaret, dance, choral, and variety show groups. She has contributed her expertise to numerous performing arts organizations, including the Edgerton Center for the Arts, Bridgeport Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Hamill Productions, CT Children’s Theatre, and Cynthia Gibbs Triple Threat Academy. Well-versed in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Afro-Jazz, Lyrical, and early childhood dance education, she has taught master classes, coached vocalists, and judged for DEA, FDA, and Starquest International dance conferences. She is also a presenter at the Dance Teacher Web conferences, conducting workshops for teachers and studio owners.
Simone’s professional career includes world tours with Costa & MSC cruise lines, Forte Village Resort in Sardegna, and various clubs and dinner theaters throughout Europe. She has worked for RAI TV in Rome, Milan, and Naples as a choreographer, dancer, and featured artist. Her notable stage roles include Brenda in “Smokey Joe’s Café,” Mary Magdalene in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and the Leading Player in “Pippin.” For the past 19 years, she has been the residential choreographer and has undertaken various directorial projects for Sacred Heart University’s Theatre Arts department.
Currently, Simone is the General Manager and Artistic Director at D’Valda & Sirico Dance and Music Centre in Fairfield, CT. She continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of performers with her extensive experience and passion for the arts.
