About James “Fuzz” Sangiovanni
Born in NYC and currently residing in Connecticut, James “Fuzz” Sangiovanni has been a successful international recording & touring artist, educator, songwriter, composer, producer and musical director for over twenty-five years. You may have seen him out in the world somewhere on stage playing guitar and singing with one of his many bands such as Caravan of Thieves, Deep Banana Blackout or Tom Tom Club, or perhaps sharing the stage with other artists such as The Allman Brothers, John Scofield, Keb Mo, Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck , Phish or the James Brown band. Or perhaps doing classroom workshops, lectures or community enrichment programs at your local university or public school.
As a multi instrumentalist, Fuzz has been both a performer and educator on a wide range of instruments including guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, drums and voice as well as a record producer, audio engineer and session musician. He has released thirteen of his own albums as well as performed on and produced records from many other artists over the years. Being a consistently positive, energetic and engaging performer has carried into every area of his career and has brought all of his projects to life by inspiring audience members, colleagues and students. Being a passionate instructor of all styles, techniques, ages and levels, Fuzz will be sure to help you discover your true inner voice, then harness that to drive your passion and motivation.
