About Olivia Roumel
As a passionate music teacher with a diverse background in both teaching and real-world musical experiences, I focus on nurturing each student’s unique voice and creativity. Since 2018, I have been leading students of a wide range of ages and skill levels in voice, guitar, and piano, helping them explore their musical interests while developing essential skills.
With experience as a band leader, performer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, I bring my love for music and creative expression into every lesson I teach. My educational journey began at Berklee College of Music, where I honed my craft in vocal jazz and songwriting. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Naropa University, where I deepened my understanding of music’s emotive and expressive potential. My time there taught me about mindfulness, self-inquiry, and improvisation, as well as the importance of creating an open and calming lesson atmosphere. Outside of music, I love exploring the beautiful landscape of Colorado.
I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and peak-bagging, and I often write music in these beautiful wild places! I perform original music in a band and as a solo artist, in a style I refer to as “nature-soul.” For me, teaching is a natural extension of my deep connection to music. I’m excited to help inspire you on your unique path!
