About Maureen (Mo) Bailey

Colorado native Mo Bailey is a dynamic performer specializing in contemporary and early music. In addition to her work as a solo and choral singer, she is the resident soprano of Solis, a Boulder-based quintet that strives to bring new life to Renaissance vocal music and newly commissioned works from composers around the world. With Solis, Mo recently performed at the Paramount Theatre alongside Jónsi (Sigur Rós) and Alex for the nationwide tour of their renowned album, Riceboy Sleeps, and can be heard on the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed Adam Sandler film, Uncut Gems.

Highlights of her solo career include the roles of Zerlina in an all-female production of a Don Giovanni, Ginevra in Handel’s Ariodante, 1st Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and Jenny in Ned Rorem’s Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters, among others, and solo work with the Longmont and Loveland Symphonies and Ars Nova Singers. She received her Bachelor’s in horn performance and economics from DePauw University and completed her master’s degree in Vocal Performance at CU Boulder in 2018.

Outside of her musical career, Mo works as a Coach at Orangetheory Fitness and spends her free time skiing, climbing, running with her indefatigable puppy, Luna, doing the NYT Crossword, and soaking up quality time with friends and family.
