About Alison Dieterle
Alison has been playing the violin for almost 20 years! She is passionate about teaching string instruments and loves getting to know her students individually. She started teaching when she interned with her own violin teacher when she turned 18. Then, she went on to get her Bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Northern Colorado. There she got to practice her teaching skills, not only in classes, but also with a group called String Project. She was also able to be a part of the UNC orchestra and perform many wonderful concerts with them. After college she went on to be an elementary music teacher, but quickly realized she missed connecting with her students on a one on one basis and getting to use string instruments everyday. With all of these experiences she has really been able to grow as a teacher. She values setting a positive learning environment where it is ok to make mistakes because that is how we learn best.
