Music Summer Camp
Creative Music Center offers several different options for Music Summer Camp this year. Please take a look below and register your child for one or more of our Summer Camp programs. Once you submit your registration, a Creative Music staff member will be in touch with you to confirm your registration and collect payment. See you over summer break!
Rock Camp – July 8 – July 12
Take your music to the next level! Shred the greatest rock tracks of the 20th and 21st centuries!
Students will learn three songs as well as the history behind their favorite bands, and the stagecraft needed to perform live.
We are accepting electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drum, and vocal students ages 13-18
**minimum one year of playing experience.

Flute Camp – July 8 – July 12
A fun-filled flute intensive where students will learn tools that can help them:
- Improve Tone and Technique
- Understand Music Theory
- Develop Sight-reading Skills
- Begin to prepare Scales and Solos for auditions

Jazz Camp – July 8 – July 12
Are you an experienced player looking to hone your skills? Someone who’s getting ready to audition for your school’s jazz band? Want to try out a new genre of music? This is the camp for you!
In this camp you will learn improvisation skills, what it’s like to collaborate in a jazz ensemble, and explore different styles within the jazz genre. On the last day of the camp, students will participate in a live performance for friends and family.
We are accepting woodwind, brass, guitar, bass, piano, and drum students who are incoming 7th-12th graders with at least 1 year of experience on their instrument. We hope to see you this summer!

Strings Camp – July 8 – July 12
Each session will combine playing their instrument and reviewing/learning new skills through games and musical activities.
The final day will be an informal performance at which we will demonstrate the skills we have been working on for parents and guests.
We are accepting violin, viola, cello, and double bass students with at least 1 year of experience playing their instruments

Piano Camp – July 29 – August 2
A one-week camp for beginner music/piano students. A beginner piano book will be provided. The camp will be 2 hours a day and will focus on an introduction to Music Theory and Piano. The week will include, games, music craft projects, movement activities, and piano playing with the teacher and other campers. Students should bring a snack and water.

Magical Journeys – July 15 – July 19
Come sing your favorite songs with us! This fun-filled week is for young people aged 6-10 who love to sing songs from their favorite magical movies! During each 3-hr day, we will focus on how to warm up our voices and breathe deeply, we will learn a little about how to read the notes on the page and how to use music sign language, we will use small props and incorporate movement to connect with the pieces, and we will learn many vocal techniques to help us improve our singing skills – all the while we’re singing our favorite magical songs! There will be a mini-performance on Friday at the end of the camp week to showcase what we’ve learned.
