Our Jazz classes are designed to nurture a love for dance while fostering each student’s growth at their own pace. In this student-centered environment, we focus on building strong technical foundations, ensuring students develop proper jazz technique through engaging and age-appropriate instruction.
Students will learn essential jazz terminology, helping them to understand and articulate the movements they are performing. Our instructors use a variety of clean, contemporary music selections, carefully chosen to complement the movement and inspire young dancers. We place great emphasis on the developmental stages of each age group, tailoring our lessons to match the physical and cognitive abilities of our students. As they progress, students are encouraged to refine their technique, explore creative expression, and build confidence in their abilities.

Our goal is for every student to fall in LOVE with dance! Whether your child leaps & twirls around the house, wants to dance with their friends, or couldn’t think of anything they’d rather do than be at the studio, we want to embrace their JOY and build upon it. Get StartedWhat are the qualifications and experience of the dance instructors?
At Classic Image Dance our team is comprised of passionate and qualified professionals. All teachers participate in our classroom training and background checks. Many have performance experience and/or relevant degrees and are passionate about sharing their love for the art form with the next generation.
Are there any performance opportunities for the students?
Absolutely! At our dance studio, we love celebrating every step of progress our dancers make! Each season, our students have the exciting opportunity to shine in our Holiday Showcase in November and our Recital Extravaganza in June. These performances give dancers a chance to show off their new skills in front of family and friends, building confidence and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
At what age should my child start jazz?
At Classic Image Dance, students can start taking Jazz classes at the Kindergarten/1st Grade level, as a combination class with Hip-Hop. Starting at 7 years old, students may take single Hip-Hop classes as they enter our Level I program, and continue training in jazz through high school and our most advanced levels.
