Join Ms. Caroline series and strengthen your skills as a songwriter! In this class, students will work together by sharing their musical ideas and building songs based on different songwriting strategies and techniques.

Students will learn the essentials of song structure, chord progressions, melody, and lyrics and leave empowered to craft compelling songs.

In our supportive circle setting, you will share your work, receive feedback, and collaborate with your peers. All students are encouraged to bring their instruments and contribute to the creative process right from their seats.

Putting effort into your songs outside of class is crucial to get the most out of this course, so be prepared to set aside some time to work on your songs!

Class Objectives: 

– Complete the course with a fully developed song
– Learn how to create melodies and chord progressions
– Brainstorm musical ideas with other musicians in a collaborative setting
– Understand how to workshop lyrics to fit a song
– Add more tools to your songwriting kit
