About Sydney Aaron
Sydney was born and raised in the small mountain town of Lake Arrowhead, California, where she began piano lessons at the age of five, violin at the age of eight, and viola at age eleven. Sydney flourished in her musicianship with the help of the Arrowhead Arts Association and MountainTop Strings of California under the direction of Sharon Rizzo. Through this organization, she had the opportunity to embark on a concert tour of Italy, Austria, and New York and perform in the world-renowned Carnegie Hall. Sydney earned the position of principal violist in multiple honor orchestras and youth symphonies and ranked highly in regional music competitions. She received the opportunity to perform onstage with the Piano Guys, and participated in a masterclass with Las Vegas Philharmonic Principal Violist, Jason Bonham.
Sydney received her Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance from Azusa Pacific University under the guidance of Gina Coletti. As she completed her undergraduate degree, she was awarded principal violist of the APU Symphony Orchestra for two years. She also participated in masterclasses with Los Angeles Philharmonic violist Richard Elegino and American Viola Society board member Daphne Gerling at the Colburn School.
Along with performing, Sydney has always loved teaching and passing down knowledge to her students in hopes that they can be as inspired and passionate about music as she is. Sydney believes that music is an essential skill that teaches creativity, as well as concentration, discipline, and responsibility.
