About Bruno Loureiro
Bruno studied classical guitar and music education at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil under acclaimed guitarists Turibio Santos and Marco Pereira. During this time, he found great joy participating in the Toque se Toque project, where he taught guitar, music, theory, and recorder to kids in the underserved communities of Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. He graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Brazilian teaching license.
After college, Bruno divided his time between teaching and a blues and rock performance career. He has played professionally for over 15 years, performing at international music festivals and on some of the largest stages in Brazil. His work has appeared on soundtracks for national TV shows and on studio albums of popular South American bands. Bruno’s professional performance experiences made him even more enthusiastic about instructing the next generation of musicians. After working in a variety of academies and private settings, he became the music program coordinator at the Cultural Center of Music and Art of Rio de Janeiro’s largest borough. He also taught students from all over the world at the Rio International School.
Bruno is thrilled to join the team at Brill Music Academy here in Las Vegas where he hopes to pass on a lifelong love of playing guitar to his students.
