
About Amanda Skousen
Amanda is a music educator and performer in Las Vegas, Nevada. She studied music at Utah State University and Vandercook College of Music and now has both her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Music Education. She has been teaching choir in the Las Vegas area since 2016.
Amanda found a love for music at a young age, and started piano lessons at the age of 4 and voice lessons at the age of 14. She has competed and performed both voice and piano in competitions such as National Solo and Ensembles, NATS Artist Awards, and the National Musical Theater Competition. She has performed as keyboardist in several musical theater pits, as well as performing on stage. Additionally, Amanda has performed with the Dallas Symphony Choir, the Utah State University Chamber Singers, the Vandercook Collegiate Chorale, and the Las Vegas Master Singers.
Ms. Skousen has a love for a variety of music genres, but specifically loves to sing classical musical literature and musical theater. She finds a lot of joy in all types of piano music, but particularly enjoys Ludwig van Beethoven, Ola Gjeilo, and selections from Studio Ghibli films.
