About Thomas
Thomas is a pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger based in Bedford, Massachusetts. He is a graduate student at the New England Conservatory of Music pursuing a Master’s Degree in Jazz Composition and recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Boston College.
Thomas has been playing piano since the age of 7, and in the years since, he has also picked up guitar, drum set, percussion, bass, banjo, and trumpet. He is equally comfortable playing in classical, rock, pop, and jazz styles. At Boston College, he performed with the BC bOp! Jazz Ensemble, the University Wind Ensemble, the “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band, the Symphonic Band, the Pep Band, and the Symphony Orchestra. He also wrote dozens of arrangements for the Jazz Ensemble that were performed at their highest-profile performances. In February 2024, he performed George Gershwin’s jazz piano concerto, Rhapsody in Blue, with the University Wind Ensemble in celebration of the iconic piece’s 100th anniversary.
Having been greatly inspired by his various music teachers over the course of his life, Thomas is eager to pay it forward by providing a new generation with quality music education.
