About Briana Washington

Briana Washington is a professional working pianist, keyboardist, singer-songwriter, composer, and producer. She has been playing piano, keyboards, and singing since age 6. Briana began her musical journey by playing in church every week, where she started learning piano by ear, on her own, without any formal musical training.

Later she attended a performing arts high school called Oakland School for the Arts, where she received vigorous musical training in both performance and music theory. She is now a graduate of the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree with studies in Jazz Composition and Music Business.

Briana has shared the stage with Grammy award-winning artists such as Lalah Hathaway and Gloria Estefan; playing keyboards with the Beyonce Original All-Female Band; The Regiment Horns (Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake); and BET’s Black Girls Rock (where she also served as Assistant to the Music Director) just to name a few. Her philosophy as an instructor is to help students to play with fluency but also with passion and confidence. These elements will ultimately allow students to become well-rounded, virtuosic players.
